Job Description
We are looking for software engineers to join our Foundation team. The Foundation team is responsible for the tools and services that manage the lowest levels of the Heroku platform. Things like deployment automation, Amazon EC2 provisioning and automation, and APIs for system management tools are our responsibility.
If writing tools that allow our infrastructure developers to push a button and create a miniature version of Heroku running across a dozen or so machines sounds interesting, we want to hear from you!
You should be excited about:
- APIs, both building and consuming them
- Distributed workflow automation
- Infrastructure automation
- Unix
- Ruby programming
Bonus points for:
- Experience with the Amazon Web Services APIs
- Configuration management experience with Chef or Puppet
- Ops experience, this team works very closely with the Heroku Ops staff
